Motorcycles and scooters are exempt from Congestion Charges

To drive a car into London's central congestion charge zone in a car or commercial vehicle during a weekday costs £8 per day.

The good news is that motorcycles and scooters are exempt from these charges!

There are occasional rumours about motorcycles and scooters losing the congestion charge exeption but our investigations have shown this to be highly unlikely. The technology used requires a front number plate, not to mention the fact that motorcycles and scooters do not create congestion. If you enter this zone every week day for a year there is the potential that changing from a car to a motorcycle or scooter will save you £2000 in congestion charges alone.
